Tiago Teles Vinho Branco "Raiz", Loureiro from Barraida
Tiago Teles, Barraida Portugal
Organic
Tiago Teles Vinho Branco 'Raiz' is a notable addition to the portfolio of Portuguese winemaker Tiago Teles, known for his expertise in Bairrada. This skin-contact white wine reflects the indigenous Loureiro grape and Tiago's commitment to showcasing the distinct terroir of Bairrada.
The name 'Raiz,' meaning 'Roots,' underscores the wine's connection to Bairrada's terroir. Grapes are sourced from select, sustainable vineyards free from herbicides and pesticides.
'Raiz' undergoes a meticulous winemaking process. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo gentle pressing and 11 months of fermentation on the Lees.
On the palate, Vinho Branco 'Raiz' offers a crisp acidity with floral notes and hints of citrus. Malolactic fermentation adds a roundness to the palate, complementing the wine's acidity and Atlantic minerality.
